Highly motivated Logistic Supervisor with extensive experience in managing transportation operations. Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of 19 drivers, providing leadership and guidance to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee the daily activities of 16 trucks, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to schedules.
- Utilize strong leadership skills to motivate and manage the logistics team effectively.
- Serve as a self-starter, taking initiative to address challenges and optimize workflow.
- Manage routing by utilizing PC systems to assign drivers to trucks and ensure efficient delivery routes.
- Ensure trucks are not overloaded and that cargo is properly secured for transport.
- Coordinate straight jobs involving 65-80 doors per day, including switching to tractor-trailers and assigning drivers.
- Schedule preventative maintenance (PM) on trucks to minimize downtime and ensure fleet reliability.
- Communicate regularly with office managers and project managers to coordinate logistics and address any issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations regarding driver hours of service and vehicle safety.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement bonus programs to incentivize performance.
- Integrate seamlessly into the Operations team, working collaboratively to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a logistics or transportation supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in routing and logistics software.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Working Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Compensation: $65,000.00 per year
