Overview
We are seeking a skilled Audio Video Technician to join our team with a primary focus on installation and commissioning. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and commissioning audio-visual systems in commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure audio-visual systems, including video walls, displays/mounts, projectors, speakers, microphones, control systems, & conferencing equipment.
- Perform cabling, terminations, cable management, and testing.
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and scope of work documents to execute installations accurately
- Rack, dress, and label equipment in a clean and organized manner
- Perform final system checks and commissioning to ensure functionality
Requirements
- Effective communication with customers, fellow employees, and other project stakeholders.
- Ability to work safely in a variety of installation scenarios – new construction, renovation, existing building. OSHA Construction 10-hour certification preferred.
- Proficiency with AV centric tools used for structured cabling, terminations, and testing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical shop drawings and project summary documents.
- Mechanical aptitude for power tool use and layout / mounting of equipment during installation.
- Understanding of low-voltage equipment and wiring principles
- Attention to detail and commitment to clean, professional workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in the field
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AV installation, low-voltage, or related field
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to operate company vehicles
- Experience using hand and power tools for installation work
- Commitment to growth communication skills and professionalism on job sites
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Willingness to travel as needed for specific projects
- Required vision abilities include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
