We are seeking a Business Development professional with 3-5 years of experience in the carbon and climate consulting domain. The role involves driving new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting end-to-end sales across carbon market services.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and develop business opportunities in carbon markets and climate advisory services.
• Engage with project owners, corporates, and renewable energy developers.
• Manage the sales lifecycle including lead generation, proposal preparation, negotiations, and closures.
• Coordinate with internal technical and operations teams for accurate proposals and delivery.
• Act as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and ensure regular follow-ups.
• Track market trends, registry updates, and regulatory developments.
• Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and periodic reporting.
Requirements
Skills & Knowledge
• Strong understanding of carbon markets (VCS, GS, CDM, IRECs, GCC, etc.).
• Knowledge of carbon project lifecycle: registration, verification, issuance, and trading.
• B2B sales and consulting experience with strong commercial orientation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
• Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable in a dynamic regulatory environment.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, or Management.
• MBA or sustainability-related certification preferred.
Preferred Experience
• Prior experience in carbon consulting, climate advisory, ESG, or renewable energy sectors.
• Exposure to international clients and carbon transactions is an added advantage.
