What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acquisition Landman position at EJS Energy Partners?
EJS Energy Partners is a Dallas-based oil and gas fund focused on non-operated working interests and mineral acquisitions in the Permian Basin and other active lower 48 Basins.
We're looking for a driven Acquisition Landman to join our team and help us identify, contact, and close mineral and leasehold opportunities across active acquisition areas.
Responsibilities:
• Source and contact mineral and royalty interest owners to negotiate purchases and lease agreements
• Build and maintain our mineral owner database with accurate contact and ownership records
• Support closings, due diligence, and coordination with outside counsel and title examiners
• Assist with skip tracing and outreach campaigns across target basins
Qualifications
• Minimum of 1–4 years of experience in land, acquisitions, or mineral buying (will consider strong entry-level candidates)
• Comfortable with high-volume outreach and cold calling mineral owners
• Familiarity with county courthouse records, state agency portals (TX RRC, NM OCD, BLM), and online title resources
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working across multiple deals simultaneously
