Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Server/Waitress/Waiter to join our dynamic restaurant team. Experience with fine dining and food industry standards is preferred, along with proficiency in POS systems. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, managing guest relations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments via POS or cashiering systems
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting tables promptly for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to assist guests effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred; fine dining or hospitality experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently with excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed
