We are seeking a skilled Drywall Hanger to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing drywall panels, applying tape and finishing, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in all projects. The Drywall Hanger will collaborate with the construction team to meet project deadlines and maintain a safe work environment.
Duties:
- Measure and cut drywall to fit specific dimensions
- Install drywall panels securely to walls or ceilings
- Apply tape, mud, and sand seams to create a smooth finish
- Repair damaged drywall and prepare surfaces for painting
- Work collaboratively with construction team members to complete projects efficiently
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times
Skills:
- Proficiency in trim carpentry and tile laying
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Experience in fixture installation and knowledge of plumbing systems
- Strong ability to plumb, build, and work with various hand tools
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying techniques
- Previous experience as a maintenance person or in construction plumbing
- Knowledge of frame carpentry techniques
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Drywall Hanger or similar role
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
