EJE Academies Charter School (TK-8) is a dynamic, 90-10 dual-language school with the passion and enthusiasm to make a difference in a student’s life! Under the supervision of the Special Education Staff, perform various supportive tasks designed to facilitate instructional effectiveness of student learning in classrooms with non or limited English proficient students. Perform other job related duties as assigned by Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • Provide direct instruction to individual or small group of students under direct supervision of teacher in Spanish and English. • Conduct instructional activities assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching their academic goals and grade-level standards. • Implement, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of assisting the teacher in improving students’ academic success through a defined course of study. • Function as an appropriate role model for children, providing proper examples, emotional support, and a friendly attitude and general guidance. • Supervise students during recess and lunch. • Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality. Education/Certification: • Minimum one year working with children in a school environment • CPR/First Aid certified Special Knowledge/Skills: • Read, write and speak fluently in English and Spanish • Ability to assist in instructing reading and writing • Ability to work well with children • Ability to communicate effectively • Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality WORK SCHEDULE Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Ability to pass fingerprints (DOJ), TB test and drug screen *ONLY QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED* Requirements / Qualifications Letter of Introduction
