EJE ACADEMIES “Justice, Service and Excellence from the Heart” EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM YOUTH LEADER MISSION STATEMENT As dual-language charter schools, the mission of the Excellence and Justice in Education Academies (EJEA) is to prepare students from diverse populations to excel in higher education and to be leaders in creating a just global society. POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the After School Program Coordinator, provide support to students enrolled in the After School Program (ASES) including but not limited to homework support, enrichment activities, and supervised recreation. Minimum Requirements: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Prior experience working with children, preferably in a school environment Special Knowledge/Skills: • Ability to supervise and work well with children • Strong communications skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Ability to demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality Work schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 2:30-6:00 p.m. Wednesday: 12:00-6:00 p.m. Friday: 1:00-6:00 p.m. Must be able to successfully obtain fingerprint clearance through DOJ; clear TB and drug screen test.
