Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bore Rig Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized drilling equipment to facilitate horizontal and vertical bore operations across various construction projects. Duties
- Operate bore rigs and associated heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and water trucks to perform drilling operations with accuracy and safety.
- Set up and prepare drilling sites by inspecting equipment, ensuring proper alignment, and verifying safety protocols are in place before commencing work.
- Conduct horizontal drilling activities for utility installations, pipelines, or other infrastructure projects while monitoring drill performance and adjusting as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of drilling progress, equipment usage, and site conditions to ensure project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal operation throughout each shift.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and team members to coordinate activities and meet project timelines efficiently.
- Follow all safety procedures and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, or similar machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience driving various types of construction vehicles is preferred.
- Construction site experience with familiarity in horizontal drilling techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction environments.
- Ability to read technical drawings or plans related to bore operations is a plus.
