Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including box trucks and manual transmission vehicles.
- Load and unload goods efficiently using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including route details and any issues encountered.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including organizing inventory and preparing shipments.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience operating box trucks; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks related to moving goods.
- Familiarity with route driving and logistics management is advantageous.
- Experience in warehouse environments is beneficial.
