Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Database Lead with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL and strong working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Database Administration
Datacenter operations / coordination with vendor for rack & stack, maintenance & new service builds
Install, configure, upgrade, and manage MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases across environments
Perform query tuning, index optimization, vacuuming, execution plan analysis, and overall performance tuning
Implement and maintain HA/DR solutions such as:
AlwaysOn
Log Shipping
Replication
Streaming Replication
Patroni
pgBackRest
Manage database security, roles, permissions, auditing, capacity planning, and storage optimization
Perform backup and restore operations for both SQL Server and PostgreSQL using appropriate strategies and tools
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues related to performance, locks, replication, connectivity, and system-level components
