Position Details
Eisner Health is seeking an experienced Pediatrician who will provide services to underserved communities. A successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, multidisciplinary interaction with support services, and other clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Job Duties
- The physician, as the assigned Primary Care Provider (PCP) to the patient, shall see the patient at the earliest opportunity.
- The care rendering provider will make every reasonable effort to follow through personally with the patients they evaluated initially.
- Patients will be asked to return for further services only as often as necessary, preferably by appointment.
- Recording of Patient’s Progress, Procedures, and Other Matters.
- Results (including but not limited to labs, radiology results, consult notes, outside records) received by the provider should be attended to within 7 days, with acutely abnormal results attended to more urgently.
- Use, protects, and discloses Eisner Health’s patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
- Specialty clinic services shall be provided if medically necessary.
- Specialist consultant recommendations will be integrated into the patient’s treatment plan.
- The patient shall be informed by the PCP as to the general nature of his/her medical problem, the general prognosis and the nature and purpose of the treatment and procedures that are contemplated. Appropriate instructions in self-care shall be given by the PCP and/or the nursing staff to the patient and documented in the patient's medical records.
- A second opinion referral will be generated if requested by the patient’s family, and deemed reasonable by the PCP.
- All medical providers are expected to promote a cohesive, cooperative clinic work environment including helping colleagues with excess patient loads, and sometimes having to stay beyond scheduled hours.
- All medical providers are expected to show excellent professionalism when providing patient care and being able to adapt to changes in care delivery systems are also required.
- Participate in Eisner’s Peer Review program.
- Ensure compliance With Productivity and Documentation Standards
- Ensure productivity standards are met. Goal is for 20 patients to be seen in an average 8-hour day.
- Current State of California Medical License.
- Timely completion of continued education required for state licensure.
- Board certified or board eligible in field of Pediatrics.
- Maintain CPR certification.
- Current DEA License.
