Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: Days/Evenings, 4x10 (40 hrs. /week is guaranteed)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient settings. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, performing assessments, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols.
- Perform specialized procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, phlebotomy, and ostomy care.
- Manage airway and ventilator support for critical patients in ICU or trauma settings.
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately within electronic health records (EHR/Epic/Cerner).
- Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with case management for post-acute care or home & community care services.
- Provide triage assessments in urgent care or emergency room environments; manage acute pain and infectious disease cases.
- Ensure infection control practices are maintained according to hospital standards.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and medical imaging procedures such as sonography or mammography.
- Support patients with complex needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, behavioral health issues, or working with people with disabilities.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare laws while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
