Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Shift: Nights (7pm to 7am), 3x12 (36 hrs. /week is guaranteed), Weekends as needed
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive critical care experience, including ICU and trauma center expertise, and be proficient in advanced patient assessment, ventilator management, and complex medical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, labs, and patient data
- Administering medications and treatments; and managing life-support equipment such as ventilators and drips.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, and document all care and patient responses accurately.
- Maintaining infection control and safety standards, educating patients and families on care and recovery, and contributing to quality improvement and unit initiatives.
