About the Role
The Junior Designer supports the design and documentation of architectural projects under the direction of Project Managers and senior design leadership. This role contributes to all phases of design, from early concepts through construction documentation, and ensures accuracy, quality, and adherence to project schedules.
The Junior Designer plays a key role in producing drawings, identifying design challenges, and supporting project coordination efforts. This position is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow toward professional licensure.
Key Skills
- Work in collaboration with Project Managers and design team members to develop project concepts and documentation
- Produce and maintain architectural drawings from schematic design through construction documents
- Prepare drawing sets in accordance with office standards (ArchiCAD or similar platforms)
- Support the creation of renderings and presentation graphics
- Update and maintain project templates and standards
- Participate in site visits and field measurements
- Prepare as-built drawings
- Be a proactive communicator
- Able to balance quality work with efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- At least 1 year of professional experience in an architectural setting
- Basic knowledge of architectural design principles, construction processes, and building systems
- Proficiency in architectural modelling software (e.g., ArchiCAD, Revit)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work between multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Initiative and willingness to learn
Compensation
- Salary range $70,000-$80,000
