Job Title: Instructional Support Staff, Physical Education Classroom
Job Brief:
- This Instructional Support Staff member assists in Physical Education classes by supporting a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students. This position aides in instruction, supervises students, prepares equipment and activity areas, and helps promote positive behaviors and teamwork.
Location: Eisenhower Middle School
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Good communicator.
- Enjoys helping and working with students and educators.
- All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.
Salary:
- $12.00 - $16.00/hr.
- Placement within this range is based on relevant qualifications, including prior experience, education, and applicable certifications (e.g., bachelor's degree, advanced certification, bilingual proficiency, etc.).
Hours Per Day:
- Times may vary depending on the building assignment.
- Flexible hours depending on availability.
- Average workday = 8 hours.
Terms of Employment:
- Positions available during the regular school year.
- New employees go through a 45-day introductory period as part of onboarding after which benefits will begin, and leave can be used.
Reports To:
- Building Principal.
- Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the Board of Education’s policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
Job Duties:
- Works with individuals or small groups to reinforce teacher instruction and objectives.
- Support student learning as directed by the teacher.
- Assists with student supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
