Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The CAD Technician will provide front-line support for engineering managers. Primary responsibilities will include designing and detailing new engineered components, fabrication, and mechanical assemblies using 3D Solidworks CAD software. You will create models, detail drawings, and bill of materials. You will lead prototyping these designs using 3D printing as well as using your machining abilities to make finished models for proof-of-concept approval.
This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
This is a contract to hire position. Hours: 8am to 5pm.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a focus on CAD.
Experience
2-4 years CAD design experience in mechanical products, components, or fabrication environments (industrial, automotive, manufacturing, or related).
Location
Lansing, Michigan
