What are the responsibilities and job description for the 12PM-9PM Broker Domestic Coordinator Freight Fwd Entry Level Welcome position at EIS Group?
About the role
We're looking for a sharp, organized, hardworking person to join our domestic freight team. You'll keep shipments moving across the country, making sure freight gets picked up, tracked, and delivered on time, while being the go-to person for our customers and carriers.
Freight experience is a plus, but not required. Some of our best people came from restaurants, retail, hospitality, and other fast-paced operations. If you can juggle a lot at once, stay calm when things go sideways, and pay attention to the details, we'll teach you the freight side.
What you'll do
- Coordinate, schedule, and track domestic shipments (LTL and FTL) from pickup to delivery
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers and carriers, keeping everyone updated and solving problems as they come up
- Prepare accurate shipping documents, including bills of lading (BOLs), labels, and customer instructions
- Keep shipment records up to date in our transportation management system (TMS) and internal tools
- Work with sales and operations to hand off smoothly between the day, evening, and night shifts
You'll do well here if you:
- Have a track record of showing up, sticking with a job, and taking on more responsibility over time
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can keep several things moving at once
- Communicate clearly and professionally by phone and email
- Are detail-oriented: you catch mistakes before they become problems
- Are comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Want to learn and grow in a career in logistics
Nice to have (not required)
- Experience in freight, logistics, shipping, dispatch, or transportation
- Familiarity with a TMS, freight classes, or accessorial charges
- Background in operations, management, or customer service in a high-volume setting
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12pm–9pm
