What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Technician position at EINS Motorsports?
Job Summary
Eins Motorsports is a BMW-specialist performance and repair shop in Bensenville that also works on high-end European and exotic cars. We’re looking for an experienced technician who knows what they’re doing, follows the procedure, and takes pride in clean work. We do the stuff most shops won’t touch: big turbo builds, forged engine builds, flex fuel conversions, and custom tuning on N54, N55, B58, and S58 platforms, plus Audi/VW and exotics. We’re a small crew, the cars are cool, and the work is done right or it doesn’t leave.
Duties
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain BMW and other European vehicles
- Install performance parts: turbos, downpipes, fuel systems, intercoolers, suspension, and brakes
- Handle engine work, from gaskets and timing to full teardowns and rebuilds
- Work from factory repair procedures and torque specs on every job
- Diagnose electrical issues using wiring diagrams and factory-level diagnostic software
- Document your work clearly so the customer and the next tech know exactly what was done
- Treat six-figure cars like six-figure cars: fender covers on, no scratched wheels, no leftover bolts
Qualifications
- [3 ] years of hands-on experience as a technician, with European experience strongly preferred
- You look up the torque spec and the procedure instead of guessing, and you own a torque wrench you trust
- Comfortable with ISTA or similar factory-level diagnostic software
- Solid on electrical diagnosis and reading wiring diagrams
- Reliable and upfront: you show up, you communicate, and you tell us when something isn’t right instead of sending it
- Your own tools and a valid driver’s license
- Bonus: BMW performance experience (N54, N55, B58, S58), MHD or Bootmod3 familiarity, engine building or forced induction background, or exotic car experience
If you want interesting work on cars you’d actually want to work on, in a small shop where your skill gets noticed, apply with your resume and tell us about a job you’re proud of.
Pay, schedule, and benefits go in Indeed’s own fields rather than in this text, so fill those in when it asks. I’d also change the job title from “Journeyman Technician” to something like “European Performance Technician (BMW / Exotics)” so the right people find it in search.
