What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEASONAL ORDER PULLER - 1ST SHIFT position at EILLIENS CANDIES INC?
The purpose of the Order Puller position is to pull boxed product from warehouse to fulfill customer orders. Must have the ability to accurately count and review customer orders for accuracy. Must be able to operate powered equipment such as: Forklift, or Electric Pallet Jack.
Essential Functions
- Read orders
- Operate electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and forklift
- Identify correct location/item by number and physical description
- Palletize order to prepare for shipment
- Steady work environment requiring attention to detail
- Reclass product using the WMS process
- Basic reading and math required
- Required to do basic housekeeping/sanitation duties during slow times
- Assist in the training or new employees

Competencies
- Must have the ability to use computers/scanning technology
- Must have the ability to accurately read, count, and match numbers
- Must be able to operate powered equipment in a safe manner
- Must be able to stay on task and be self-motivated
- Must apply food safety and employee safety guidelines in all performance measures
- Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to powered equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The work environment is climate controlled.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hand to fingers; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally life and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is considered full-time. Both mandatory and voluntary overtime will be required to meet business needs. Schedule is subject to change with or without notice.
Travel
Occasional travel to other warehouses may be required
Education, skills, and Experience
- Must have a minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent desired but not required
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is helpful
- 3-5 years previous experience operating Forklift and/or pallet jack is ideal
- Ability to operate powered equipment safely is required
