What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Account Manager position at Eillien's Candies, Inc?

As a National Account Manager, you will develop relationships with existing large to mid-size customers, as well as pursue relationships with new customers, to find ways to partner and increase revenue. You will need to develop a detailed knowledge of our products and services offered and leverage that knowledge to ensure our customers’ needs are always met. National Account Managers are responsible for maintaining a cadence of consistent communication with customers, for executing and following through of all projects for the customer, for requesting and presenting sales quotes and samples, and advises internal teams on product and service improvement opportunities based on the customer’s feedback. National Account Managers also work closely with the Director of Sales to develop and implement new sales strategies and product offerings that will drive additional business with new and existing customers.


Essential Functions


  • Maintain and grow customer relationships through excellent communication and understanding of customer’s needs.
  • Request and prepare quotes, samples, and presentations for customers.
  • Attend customer meetings, store events, or trade shows as needed.
  • Work closely with customer service and cross functional support teams to track and manage customer orders and information.
  • Work with the Director of Sales to develop and execute sales strategies that align with both personal, company, and customer-related goals.
  • Develop and cultivate new business opportunities within existing and new customers in a designated market segment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position


Travel


Travel consists of both car and air travel, including overnights when necessary. Travel will vary depending on customer needs. Must maintain a valid Driver License.


Education, Skills, and Experience


  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business, Sales, or related field is strongly desired, however, will consider relevant years of experience in lieu of education
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of recent sales, account management, or buying experience is required
  • Prefer 2-3 years of experience in CPG/food industry sales
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point is required
  • Previous experience in the food industry is strongly desired, but not required



Work Environment


The work environment varies between the office, production plant, and warehouses. At times while in the plant you may be exposed to allergens, powered equipment, and loud noises.


Physical Demands


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to sit for the duration of the shift, lift up to 25 pounds daily, bend, twist, stand and work on a computer daily.
