What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dance Teacher - Breakdance/Hip-Hop position at Eileen's Academy of Dance?
Looking for an amazing dance teacher for our growing studio! We have been in business for 45 years. Our studio is an inclusive, body-positive friendly environment where everyone is welcome to learn how to dance! We have smaller classes which leads to a more personal learning environment!
Currently looking to help fill our spring season. We are in need of Breakdance - Hip-Hop Teacher.
If you teach additional styles, you may be asked to substitute on an as needed basis. It does not happen often! Will be given advance notice if it comes up. We may also be looking to try to do an occasional workshop class for other kids to try out your style and get to know you!
At this time, we are looking to add to our schedule on Friday evening or Saturday. Our school season runs from September through June. Recital ends our school season. Think right after Labor Day start to around Father's Day Weekend. Rehearsal and recital are mandatory attendance. We continue through the summer as well on 3, 5, 7 week classes.
You will be responsible for executing 1 hour long classes in desired age range or 30 minute private classes depending on who is signed up. Classes for beginners are ages 5-8 and Intermediate 9-12. Classes average 5 - 10 students. The candidate must be great with kids, energetic, creative, enthusiastic, and a team player. You will be dealing with a wide range of children from 5-18-year-olds and if interest occurs maybe adults.
You will be in charge of your music for each class and picking out music for each dance for recital.
We pay competitively and there are bonuses, if your class is filled to max capacity.
Closed for all major holidays Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, 2 weeks for winter break, New Year's Eve, President's Day, 1 week for Spring Break and Memorial Day.
