About the Role
As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for supporting EiKO’s quality assurance program through inspection, testing, and documentation of products and processes. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that customer expectations, vendor requirements, and new product standards are consistently met. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, vendors, and customers to investigate issues, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Quality
· Investigate and document customer quality complaints, returns, and field issues
· Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
· Support the Quality team in tracking and reporting customer satisfaction metrics
· Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
Vendor Quality
· Inspect incoming materials, components, and products from suppliers for conformance to specifications
· Work with vendors to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions
· Assist in supplier audits and quality performance evaluations
· Maintain accurate records of vendor quality data and provide feedback for supplier scorecards
New Product Quality
· Participate in new product introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring quality requirements are defined and validated
· Support prototype and pilot runs with inspection, testing, and documentation
· Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Management on potential quality risks
· Verify compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory standards prior to launch
General Quality & Continuous Improvement
· Perform inspections, tests, and measurements using appropriate equipment and methods
· Maintain calibration records and ensure test equipment is in proper working condition
· Document quality results in reports, databases, and ERP systems
· Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects to enhance quality performance
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Customer complaint resolution time and recurrence rate
· Supplier defect rate and corrective action closure time
· First-pass yield for new product introductions
· Accuracy and timeliness of quality inspections and reporting
· Contribution to continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
· Associate’s degree or technical certification in Quality, Engineering, or related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in a quality assurance, quality technician, or inspection role
· Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, CAPA, Six Sigma basics)
· Experience working with inspection equipment
· Strong documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail
· Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
· Experience in lighting, electrical, or industrial products is a plus
Work Environment
· On-site role based in Kansas office US WAREHOUSE, 6825 Orville Ave (Suite #401), Kansas City, Kansas 66102
· Standard office and light manufacturing/warehouse environment
· May require occasional travel to suppliers or customer locations
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
