Eikenhout Inc is a wholesale distributor of exterior building products. Our 180 team members partner with Michigan contractors to get them everything they need at ten locations throughout Michigan. We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to support a broad range of human resource functions with an emphasis on building strong teams and supporting our team members.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as HR Partner, offering guidance & support
- Lead full-cycle recruiting and support workforce planning needs
- Coach leaders and employees on performance and development
- Support employee engagement, onboarding and retention initiatives
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR data and documentation
- Collaborate with the team on process improvements, HR technology and programs
- Leverage HR data to identify trends and recommend solutions
- Policy Development & Compliance
- Compensation & Benefit Administration & Support
- Perform other HR related duties and special projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant human resources experience
- SHRM-CP Preferred
- Valid driver license & excellent driving record
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations and best business practices
- Excellent communication, coaching and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems (We use Bamboo), Tech adaptable
- In person work, Monday – Friday
- Travel to branch locations and occasional overnight stays
- Exceptional communication, relationship building and coaching skills
- Strong judgment, discretion and professionalism in sensitive matters
- Highly organized with ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
