Medical Coordinator - Toms River, NJ
Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Summary: Medical Coordinator (MC) conducts medical appointments to ensure that the individual receives all the treatments as ordered by medical professionals. The MC will monitor health and orders by following up on the medical recommendations, treatments, referrals, indications, or protocols that doctors prescribe. In addition, the MC will monitor medical records for follow-up all the medical appointments for each individual, check and count every week the medications and place orders in case of need, check medications administration records daily to ensure all medication has been administered and documented according to policy. The MC serves as a substitute management role when management is unavailable.
Qualifications:Qualification: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years related work or life experience is required.
- Driver’s license valid in the state of New Jersey, plus three years driving history and a driving record in good standing.
- All staff must be able to complete Crisis Management Training and implement Crisis Management techniques when needed at all times.
- Employees must be 21 years of age.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Ability to understand medical terminology.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
