Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Meet regularly with all staff under supervision for the purpose of case discussion, staff orientation and in-service training.
- Complete all required staff evaluations in a timely fashion.
- Participates in all required training, as well as provide in-service training to staff.
- Conducting evaluations and scheduling of employees
- Assess and treat all patients, file all paperwork and arrange initial medical appointments.
- Schedule medical and dental appointments for the clients.
- Schedule all medical reviews, initial psychiatric review, discharges, and interviews with the psychiatrist on staff.
- Educate new employees at orientation, teach Medication Administration Course, and give and arrange in-services.
- Arrange monthly presenter for the Wellness Program.
- Order medical supplies.
- Obtain medical and dental consent from parents/guardians.
- Administration of medication and assessment of all clients.
- Admission of clients.
- Medical care for staff.
- Chair the Healthcare and Pharmacy sub-committee and attend other committees assigned by the Associate Executive Director.
- Attend and record all staffing.
- Report regularly to the Director of Operations.
- Present and administer Hepatitis B Vaccine Program for all staff.
- On call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
- Recruiting doctors and dentists to give care for our clients.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises five employees in the Dispensary Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

* 21 years of age and acceptable Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance.
A medical examination to be completed prior to start date and renewal every two years thereafter.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from four-year college or university and two years related experience and/or training; or such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director may find appropriate and acceptable.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, Word
Processing software and Therascribe.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
A valid New York State Driver’s License.
A valid and current New York State Nursing License; training and completion of licensure requirements as a Registered Nurse preferred; and training and completion of licensure requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse considered.

Mandatory On-Site Training/Orientation Complete the following training provided at orientation: Mission & Ministry, Personnel Policy, Policy Manual, Medical Issues, Suicide, Cultural Diversity, Asthma, Child Care Techniques, Safe Physical Management, First Aid, CPR, Fire Safety, re-certifications and other training recommended.
Travel required to various counties/boroughs within New York.
