Direct Support Professional (DSP) – On-Site Day Program
Location: Howell, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview
Eihab is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our on-site day program team. DSPs play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by promoting independence, community engagement, social interaction, and daily living skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to program participants
- Assist individuals with daily activities and personal care as needed
- Support participants in recreational, educational, and vocational activities
- Encourage independence, communication, and social development
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment
- Complete daily documentation and incident reports accurately
- Follow all agency policies, safety procedures, and individualized support plans
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure quality care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid NJ driver’s license
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
