Position Overview
The Wholesale Demand Planner is responsible for developing and managing end-to-end demand plans across multiple brands, categories, and wholesale channels. This role owns sales forecasting, inventory productivity, weeks of supply (WOS), and lifecycle management while partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Merchandising, Production, Design, and Logistics to ensure profitable growth, strong sell-through, and healthy inventory turnover.
This is a highly analytical and collaborative role that plays a critical part in translating brand and sales strategies into executable forecasts, inventory plans, and go-to-market (GTM) timelines.

Key Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting & Sales Planning
- · Develop and maintain rolling sales forecasts across multiple brands, categories, and wholesale channels.
- · Incorporate historical sales, seasonality, product lifecycle, customer demand signals, and promotional activity into forecasts.
- · Own forecast assumptions and methodology, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- · Partner with Sales and Merchandising to align forecasts to account plans, market reads, and GTM strategies.
- · Track forecast accuracy and recommend adjustments based on in-season performance and demand shifts.
- Inventory Planning, WOS & Productivity
- · Develop and manage Weeks of Supply (WOS) targets and average inventory levels by brand, category, and core vs. seasonal classifications.
- · Monitor inventory productivity, sell-through, and turnover metrics, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- · Support Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning by tracking sales, receipts, and inventory positions against plan.
- · Provide re-forecasting and inventory adjustment recommendations to optimize cash flow and margin.
- · Partner with Production and Logistics to align inventory flow with demand and lead times.
Product Lifecycle & Aging Management
- · Own product lifecycle tracking from launch through exit.
- · Develop and manage inventory aging methodologies to identify slow-moving, at-risk, and aged inventory.
- · Provide data-driven repricing, promotional, and exit strategy recommendations to maximize sell-through and minimize obsolescence.
- · Support core replenishment strategies while managing seasonal product exits.
Go-To-Market (GTM) & Time-and-Action Management
- · Manage and maintain multi-brand GTM calendars, ensuring alignment across Sales, Merchandising, Design, and Production.
- · Track key milestones including line adoption, order cutoffs, production timelines, and delivery windows.
- · Identify risks to GTM execution and proactively partner with teams to course-correct.
- · Support launch readiness through demand alignment and inventory availability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- · Act as a strategic partner to Sales, Merchandising, Design, Production, and Logistics teams.
- · Translate business strategy into actionable demand and inventory plans.
- · Support alignment across teams through clear communication, reporting, and shared KPIs.
- · Assist in building scalable planning processes as the business grows.
Reporting & Analysis
- · Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly reporting on sales, inventory, WOS, sell-through, forecast accuracy, and OTB.
- · Develop tools, dashboards, and models to improve visibility and decision-making.
- · Support ad-hoc analysis, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives as needed.

Qualifications
- · 1–3 years of demand planning, inventory planning, or merchandise planning experience (wholesale or apparel preferred).
- · Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related field.
- · Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- · Advanced Excel proficiency required (testing may be required).
- · Experience working with ERP, forecasting, and planning tools.
- · PMP, CPF, or CDDP certification a plus.
- · Microsoft Power BI or data visualization experience preferred.
- · Strong communication skills and comfort partnering cross-functionally.
- · Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growing organization.
