What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office Receptionist position at Eighth Avenue Obstetrics and Gynecology?
Eighth Avenue Obstetrics and Gynecology is currently seeking a Bilingual medical office receptionist. Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years experience in a medical office setting, prefered but not required at least 1 year of experience in an ObGyn office.
Key duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Greet and welcome patients to the facility
- Collect demographic and insurance information upon patient check-in
- Collect co-pays, deductibles and surgical deposits
- Notifies physicians of patient arrival
- Answers all patient insurance and financial questions
- Informs patient of financial responsibilities and answers questions
- Schedules appropriate visit follow-up per physician instructions
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPPPA compliance measures at all times
- Is able to clearly communicate with patients, both professionally and in a friendly manner
- Communicates office inventory and needs to management
- Maintains order and fax machine and provides completed tasks to clinical staff
- Prepares next day charts and duties to ensure efficient workflow for next day services

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma
- Experience in medical office setting 2 years obgyn a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
