- Document all day-to-day activities and ensure required documentation is completed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with individuals, families, coworkers, and outside agencies
- Assist clients in maintaining a clean home
- Ensure individuals receive their medication and document accurately
- Assist individuals with meal preparation
- Take individuals to their doctor appointments and ensure documentation by providers is completed.
- Work to implement the goals of the individuals.
- Engage with ongoing training requirements, at least 24 hours of annual training required.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification (onsite training & certification provided during orientation)
- Medication Administration (onsite training & certification provided during orientation)
- Current Physical and TB test within one year
- Ability to pass a background check, and, if applicable, FBI clearance.
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
- Ability to complete one-person transfers with a wheelchair
- Ability to provide personal care
