We manage over 1,400 apartment rental units, offering exceptional living spaces throughout the area. We are looking for a great crew member to join our Maintenance Team. We are seeking skilled maintenance personnel for routine maintenance on multi-family properties throughout the Twin Cities.
As a Maintenance Technician II with EIG Property Management, you'll play a key role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our multi-family properties. This is a full-time position that involves routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of various systems within our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair boiler systems, including pumps, zone valves, expansion tanks, and controls
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on domestic water heaters (gas and electric, tank and common systems)
- Identify and repair plumbing issues: leaks, clogs, stack backups, fixture replacement, and shutoff/isolation work
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems: outlets, breakers, lighting circuits, ballast/LED conversion, GFCI issues
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems: furnaces, baseboard heat, and basic A/C systems
- Execute appliance repair (refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, garbage disposals)
- Perform preventive maintenance on aging building systems to reduce emergency failures
- Respond to and resolve emergency service calls (no heat, water leaks, hazards)
- Complete unit turns including repairs, replacements, and system readiness for new tenants
- Conduct building-wide inspections to identify deferred maintenance and risk areas
- Repair and maintain roofing, siding, windows, and exterior building components
- Perform carpentry and finish work: doors, trim, cabinets, drywall repair, patching, and painting
- Maintain and repair common area systems: lighting, laundry equipment, entry systems, and amenities
- Assist with boiler seasonal startup/shutdown and ensure proper system balancing
- Support vendor coordination by scoping work, verifying completion, and quality-checking results
- Maintain accurate work order documentation and communicate status updates clearly
- Ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards, especially for older systems
- Manage and track parts, tools, and inventory needed for ongoing maintenance
- Assist with snow removal, grounds maintenance, and exterior upkeep as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in apartment or multi-family property maintenance is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Basic knowledge in Google Applications & mobile apps
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel between properties.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
