Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, project coordination, and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role serves as the primary client-facing lead and owns communication throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Duties
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
- Collaborate closely with superintendents to ensure alignment between field execution and project planning.
- Develop detailed project schedules using advanced project management software such as Microsoft Project and Procore.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Independently review and interpret shop drawings, plans, and contracts
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Implement effective communication strategies among team members to promote collaboration and efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and proactively identify project risks and escalate concerns.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction management software, including Procore, Bluebeam, Project, and Office 365.
- Ability to make sound recommendations to ownership on project decisions, changes, and risk mitigation.
- Strong background in construction and project scheduling methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of construction processes, site experience, and blueprint reading capabilities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality control.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Working knowledge of contracts and key legal considerations in construction projects.
· Ability to adapt communication style to clients, subcontractors, and internal teams across varying experience levels.
Requirements
· Five to fifteen years of construction project management experience preferred.
· Comfortable working independently while maintaining consistent communication with leadership.
