Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our Amish crew, responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, efficient route driving skills, and experience operating commercial vehicles. This role involves delivering products, loading and unloading cargo, and supporting the team with heavy lifting and moving tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
- Drive routes efficiently while maintaining timely deliveries and excellent customer service.
- Assist with moving items within warehouses or job sites as required, including heavy lifting.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure safety standards are met.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules.
- Support the team with courier tasks or other transportation needs as directed.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in commercial driving, delivery routes, or courier services preferred.
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading, forklift operation, or pallet jack use is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks related to moving items safely.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission is desirable.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
