JOB TITLE: Technician
DEPARTMENT: Production Support
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide total support for production equipment and services
- Work with operators to optimize machine utilization
- Troubleshoot machine issues while minimizing downtime
- Assist in product changeovers
- Assist engineering to resolve quality and process issues
- Collaborate with production supervisor to plan daily support priorities
- Perform line operation when needed
- Complete facility and ground maintenance
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of electronics
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with a team or independently as needed
- Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and criminal background check
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements as outlined in this position description
- Must follow all company policies outlined in the EI Microcircuits Employee Handbook of Personnel Policies
- Complete all orientation and training needs as written in policy
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Post-secondary education in electronics, hydraulics, robotics, maintenance, or a related field is required
- 1 year of experience with electronic assembly preferred
- Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and/or PLC’s preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
