JOB TITLE: Support Specialist
DEPARTMENT: IT
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and respond to Help Desk and Service Desk requests and tickets
- Troubleshoot and replace faulty hardware
- Troubleshoot and install software
- Investigate Wi-Fi and network related issues
- Permission changes for ERP and Active Directory
- Investigate various other technical related issues
- Hardware and software support for 3 facilities (2 in Mankato, 1 in St. Peter)
- Laptops, desktop workstations, production equipment workstations, servers, printers, etc.
- Remote support for EI Sensor (CA facility)
- Utilize management tools to remotely provide support
- Software updates and upgrades (Windows 11, Office365, ERP, Adobe, Engineering apps, etc.)
- Testing and distribution of new computer equipment
- Assist in maintaining PC images and imaging process
- New computer setup and configuration
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong PC hardware and networking fundamentals
- Experience with PC software (Windows, MS Office)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong multi-tasker with excellent communication & problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work in a seated position for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and criminal background check
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements as outlined in this position description
- Must follow all company policies outlined in the EI Microcircuits Employee Handbook of Personnel Policies
- Complete all orientation and training needs as written in policy
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree preferred but not required
- 2 years of experience in a corporate IT support roll
