Position Summary

The Shipper / Receiver Clerk is responsible for all shipping, receiving, and related warehouse activities. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who takes ownership of their work, values accuracy, and can operate independently while collaborating across departments.

You will be trusted to ensure products move efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with customer and company requirements—supporting both operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Education & Professional Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Forklift Certification and valid Driver’s License required

• Minimum of 1 year of shipping and receiving experience

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with coworkers, management, and external partners

• Strong basic math skills with attention to detail

• Experience with or willingness to learn shipping systems and tools, including:

o UPS WorldShip, FedEx, UPS, EchoShip

o SAGE 100

o Adobe, Microsoft Office

o Scanco bar-coding system

• Demonstrated professionalism and sound judgment, including the ability to maintain confidentiality of customer, company, and personnel information

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse objectives as directed by the Assistant Plant Manager

• Verify product counts for all incoming and outgoing shipments

• Ensure all packaging requirements and customer specifications are met prior to shipment

• Accurately enter and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records within company systems

• Properly store incoming raw materials in designated locations and accurately adjust into inventory using Scanco bar-coding system.

• Support Inventory Control Specialist with inventory cycle counts

• Support the Sales Team by assisting with shipping quotes and freight cost optimization

• Perform local deliveries and pick-ups using the company vehicle as required

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping and receiving area

• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned
