Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical crews on construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to coordinate electrical activities with overall project timelines
- Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of electrical systems and identify potential issues early
- Manage procurement, contracts, and budgets related to electrical components and labor costs, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
- Conduct quality control inspections, safety audits (including OSHA compliance), and site assessments to uphold safety standards and project integrity
- Oversee the use of construction management tools such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, tracking progress, and communication among teams
- Supervise subcontractors and onsite personnel, providing guidance on schematics interpretation, troubleshooting with ohmmeters or other testing devices, and adherence to project specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on electrical projects; supervisory experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid or equivalent tools for scheduling and project tracking
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including safety protocols (OSHA standards), quality control measures, and managing multiple trades simultaneously
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and use testing equipment like ohmmeters effectively
- Excellent management skills with a track record of supervising teams and managing subcontractors effectively
- Knowledge of contracts administration and budgeting processes related to large-scale electrical installations
- Construction site experience in heavy civil or infrastructure projects involving pipelines or similar heavy-duty systems is highly desirable
