Role Description The Product Owner is a full-time role based in Pittsburgh, PA, responsible for guiding the development and enhancement of eHealth Technologies’ healthcare interoperability products. This role translates stakeholder and customer needs into clear product requirements, maintains and prioritizes the product backlog, and collaborates closely with engineering, design, and clinical subject matter experts. The Product Owner facilitates sprint planning, backlog refinement, and review sessions to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features that align with business and user outcomes. Day-to-day activities include analyzing user feedback and data, defining user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting release planning, and ensuring that products meet regulatory, security, and performance standards. The role also involves partnering with go-to-market teams to prepare product documentation and support training and product launch activities.
Qualifications
- Experience in product ownership or product management in healthcare technology or related fields, with skill in gathering requirements, defining user stories, and prioritizing a product backlog.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX, clinical experts, and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Azure DevOps), including experience participating in or leading sprint ceremonies.
- Analytical abilities to interpret user data, workflow information, and market feedback to inform product decisions and measure outcomes.
- Familiarity with healthcare workflows, clinical documentation, or interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, imaging and pathology workflows) is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as healthcare informatics, information technology, business, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a focus on delivering value to clinicians and patients.
