Substance Use Peer Recovery Specialist
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- Have IODAPCA certification or have qualifications to obtain certification within two years of hiring date and at minimum one year of recovery are required.
- Must demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the families we serve.
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Hours:
35 Hours per Week
Job Duties:
- Follow up services after a patient is discharged from residential treatment, collaboration with DCFS, housing, food, support and individual and family counseling responsibilities.
- May work in the court systems.
- Must make community outreach contacts to potential referral sources.
- Provide in service or addiction education to community groups.
- Participate in weekly program meetings and general staffing.
- Maintain documentation in client records as required by SUPR 2060 rules.
