What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at EGS?
EGS is seeking a Safety Manager for an immediate need contract opportunity at the Hanford site. This could be a full-time or part-time opportunity and comes with top competitive rates and great benefits. Under direct supervision, Site Safety & Health Officer job functions as assigned by management. Typical job responsibilities assist and support management in ensuring that all Site Safety & Health Officer duties are conducted in a manner that is safe, cost effective and fully compliant with company procedures and all contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned.
- Must have one of the following certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals; Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Certification, Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) Certification, Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or be a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) by the Board for Global EHS credentialing.
- BS Degree with 10 years of experience in a safety and health position in industrial safety, and familiar with radiological sites.
- Safety rep has previous Hanford site or DOE construction services contract experience that included hazardous work and that the individuals work was performed to the satisfaction of the customer.
- OSHA 10-hour training required.
- Must be proficient and knowledgeable in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards to prevent construction related injuries and accidents.
