About the Role
Client is looking for a DB2 Database Administrator with strong DBA experience to handle databases on Linux platform.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer DB2 LUW databases on Linux platform.
- Install, upgrade and patch DB2 databases.
- Strong with backup and recovery.
- Conduct performance tuning of high scale databases.
- Strong experience in setting up DR databases and perform DR tests.
- Experience with automation using shell scripting or Ansible.
- Experience working with development teams for object deployment and setting up data replication using federation and other data replication tools like Attunity, DTShare etc.
- Provides status report updates to managers.
Required Skills
- 10 Years of experience in DB2 DBA with Replication
- Expertise in Database Installation and Configuration: Installing and configuring Db2 LUW ( (Linux/Unix/Windows platform) database software on servers.
- Proficiency in HADR, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management and troubleshooting.
- Experience in database design, patch and version management.
- Knowledge in capacity Planning, documentation, collaboration, automation monitoring, compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Experience in Disaster Recovery Planning to minimize data loss in the event of a system failure.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Required Experience
Minimum 10 plus years of experience in DB2 DBA.
