Role Description The Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructures that support EgoTECHworld’s products and client solutions. In this full-time remote role, you will build and optimize cloud environments, automate deployments, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot production issues. You will collaborate with software developers, DevOps practitioners, and other stakeholders to define architecture, improve reliability, and support continuous integration and delivery. Daily responsibilities include configuring and managing servers, containers, and databases; implementing security and backup strategies; and documenting infrastructure, processes, and standards. You will also help evaluate new cloud services and tools, recommend improvements, and contribute to best practices for cost optimization and operational excellence.

Qualifications
- Strong Software Development skills, including experience with at least one modern programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or similar) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure and Cloud Computing concepts, such as IaaS/PaaS, infrastructure as code (e.g. CloudFormation), networking, and cloud security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Linux administration, including system configuration, shell scripting, performance tuning, and basic security hardening.
- Practical knowledge of Databases, including setup, maintenance, backup/restore, and performance optimization for relational or NoSQL systems in cloud environments.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), along with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively across distributed teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with a focus on reliability, security, and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant cloud or DevOps certifications are a plus.
