Team Member (Food Cart) – High Volume Breakfast Concept (Eggslut Portland)

Join our team as a Team Member at Eggslut Portland, a food-cart based high-volume breakfast and lunch concept focused on exceptional food quality and guest experience.

As a Team Member, you will help prepare food, assist guests, and support daily operations to ensure fast, friendly, and accurate service. Working under the guidance of Shift Leads and the General Manager, you will play an important role in keeping the kitchen and service running smoothly during busy service periods.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and want to develop hospitality and food service skills.

Compensation

· Pay: Starts at $19.30 per hour including tips after fully trained

· Position Type: Full-time or part-time, hourly (non-exempt)

Duties & Responsibilities

Team Members support daily operations and help deliver a great guest experience, including:

Food Preparation

· Prepare menu items according to company recipes and quality standards

· Assist with ingredient preparation and station setup

· Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

Guest Service

· Provide friendly and efficient customer service

· Take orders accurately using POS systems when assigned

· Ensure guests receive their orders quickly and correctly

Operational Support

· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and service area

· Restock ingredients, packaging supplies, and beverages

· Assist with opening and closing procedures

Teamwork

· Work closely with Shift Leads and team members to maintain smooth service flow

· Communicate clearly during busy service periods

· Support a positive and respectful workplace environment

Qualifications & Experience

· Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred but not required

· Experience with eggs is a plus

· Strong work ethic and positive attitude

· Ability to work well in a team environment

· Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced setting

· Willingness to learn and follow operational standards

Requirements

· Must be authorized to work in the United States

· Oregon Food Handler Card at time of hiring (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)

· Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

· Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required

· Typical schedule may include opening shifts beginning at 6:00 AM

Work Environment

Eggslut Portland operates from a food-cart located within a busy food-cart pod and serves a high volume of guests during breakfast and lunch hours. Team Members should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong teamwork and service standards.
