What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess (Part-Time) position at Eggs Up Grill?
Eggs Up Grill is hiring immediately for a part time Hosts/Hostess to join our team! Eggs Up Grill serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch daily from 6am to 2pm. Shift times will vary during the weekdays but on the weekends -Saturday & Sunday from 8am to 2pm depending on the volume of guests that day.
A Host/Hostess is the first person the guest sees and the last: you are the face of the restaurant!

Job Details:
- Welcome guests warmly by opening the door, smiling and making eye contact as they enter the restaurant
- Seat guests, handing the appropriate menu(s) to each guest after they’re seated.
- Communicate with servers and managers regarding availability of tables, seating of large parties, or special requests so that guests receive great service.
- Handle guests’ complaints by listening to their concerns, always informing a manager, and resolving issues to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Phone etiquette, written and verbal communication skills are a must. Be able to answer phones to take orders and guest requests.
- Entering electronic orders for guests that phone in or walk-in
- Prepare to-go orders for completion including third party, online, and phone orders orders
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior hosting experience is preferred, but not required.
- Rate of pay is negotiable and depends on skillset and level of experience.
