The primary objective of this role is to effectively manage the Lamination, Technical Logistics, and Saturation Departments in order to meet the budgetary, quality, and volume requirements. The focus will be on continuous improvement of first quality product, performance, communication and productivity across all departments. To improve health and safety measures, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) standards, and to ensure unwavering compliance with the regulatory mandates established by the PPC. Your responsibilities will include fostering a culture of quality awareness throughout the departments. You will also provide support to the plant's Quality and Environmental Department to maintain registration to the current ISO quality standards. You will play a vital role in assisting the Production & Technical Director in developing and implementing procedures and policies related to Health and Safety Management, as well as driving continuous process improvements throughout the departments.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • To manage the Lamination, Technical Logistic and Saturation Departments to agreed standards, within budgetary constraints and quality standards.
  • To manage the collaboration between the departments.
  • To manage budgets, costs and investments.
  • To manage the annual departmental development plan.
  • To manage and improve the Health and Safety Standards and Compliance Rules across the departments.
  • To manage and develop the personnel in the departments, in conjunction with the HR Department, applying relevant Company policies and procedures regarding annual appraisals, attendance and develop a culture of discipline (absence/leave).
  • To monitor KPIs of the departments and to ensure volume requirements are getting met.
  • To monitor progress of Maintenance and Process Improvement Projects in the departments.
  • To monitor Department Managers and Production Team’s performance and development progress.
  • To operate the Company’s support and software systems and ensure that they are properly used and maintained.
  • To understand and review the process within the departments to ensure process improvements.
  • To perform, assist in and arrange Quality Audits.
  • To ensure site environmental controls are implemented and maintained.
  • To demonstrate professional competence and set a leading example in managing production and machine downtimes, including the implementation of escalating procedures.
  • To promote and maintain high levels of housekeeping across the departments.
  • All other duties as required.



Background / Experience

  • Managerial experience required along with supervisory management skills.
  • Analyze KPIs and posses experience in analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Rules.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are important.
  • High standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience of SAP preferred.
  • Good written and verbal skills.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS

  • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
