The Facilities Maintenance Personnel are responsible for ensuring the optimal condition and functionality of the facility’s infrastructure. Their primary duties include performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all buildings and equipment on site. They address facility-related issues, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with other teams to minimize disruptions to operations. Maintenance personnel also maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, adhere to safety protocols, and assist in implementing facility improvements. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to support a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB FUNCTIONS: (Job functions include but are not limited to the following)

  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Perform filter changes.
  • Handle basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Oversee contractors when in-depth repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Repair equipment, or structures as necessary.
  • General building maintenance and repairs.
  • Grounds maintenance including but not limited to painting and snow removal.
  • Door hardware repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS

  • Standard Operations: 8-hour shifts, M-F; however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8 hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Working inside and outside, and able to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE

  • Proven maintenance experience.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Basic carpentry/plumbing/electrical skills.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license.

Skills, Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Experience in facility or infrastructure maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks.
