Outside Sales Account Manager

Position is with a well-established Employee-Owned Industrial Distributor. Eggelhof Incorporated has been in business since 1926. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Outside Sales Account Manager, with a strong history in industrial sales, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth through effective account management, lead generation, and business development strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of B2B sales, technical sales, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients. The role will work closely with a team of inside and technical sales specialists to achieve targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

Position will be remote covering Beaumont, Port Arthur and Orange area of SE Texas. This role involves developing and executing a strategic business plan to drive growth and market penetration in the assigned region. Employee will report to the Houston Sales Office.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years in outside sales, B2B sales, or technical sales with a strong background in filtration, downstream liquid/ gas filtration or food and beverage preferred, steam, and/ or pressure management.
  • Candidate must currently reside within the Golden Triangle region
  • Ability to travel to Houston as needed
  • Applicable customer contacts/ relationships within the territory.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communications skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office, CRM Tools.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and a self-starting attitude.
  • Experience in territory management with an understanding of lead generation techniques.
  • Ability to conduct product demos confidently and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Travel as needed to visit customers, network, and drive sales in territory.
  • Ongoing training and growth through vendor and company initiatives, requires travel.

Preferred:

  • A degree in a technical field is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop new customers through prospecting, networking, trade shows, business associations and other means to deliver year-over-year organic growth
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through sales calls and site visits
  • Achieve territory sales and profitability goals provided by Branch Manager
  • Educating customers through technical expertise on application advantages, cost justification, and other value-added sales topics
  • Troubleshooting on site and assisting with customer/product issues.
  • Initiate and support new product development and product improvement projects in coordination with engineering, production and finance departments
  • Provide sales projections (volumes and prices) based on market research
  • Conduct customer field visits with manufacturer reps as needed
  • Stay informed about industry trends to spot new opportunities
  • Collaborate with management to recommend targeted marketing strategies based on regional or demographic needs
  • Prepare and submit detailed sales reports/projections to management

Base Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
