What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Line Cook position at Eggbred Garden Grove?
We are looking for a positive-minded cashier and line cook to join our team. Cashier duties will consist of interacting with guests and assisting the general manager with daily tasks. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the lead with daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. This role is both line cook and cashier. The person selected will be trained for both positions.

Cashier Responsibilities
· Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
· Open & close cash register and count cash properly
· Place orders in the point of sales system
· Answer, report and follow general manager and shift lead instructions
· Clean dining hall, restrooms, stations & patio
· Ensure that food comes out in high quality and a timely manner via expo station
· Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
· Customer service experience is not required but preferred.
· Excellent understanding of various cashier equipment and procedures
· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
· Familiar with industry’s best practices
Line Cook Responsibilities
· Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
· Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, prepping proteins, or preparing sauces)
· Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
· Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
· Clean up stations and take care of leftover food
· Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
· Experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
· Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
· Familiar with industry’s best practices
· Culinary school diploma preferred but not required
Schedule
·This is a breakfast fast-casual restaurant that opens at 7AM and closes at 2PM on weekdays and opens at 7AM and closes at 3PM on weekends
·Must be available Monday, Wednesday, and weekends mornings/afternoons
