SUMMARY
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department is seeking a Full-time Records Clerk. Under the supervision of the Police Records Supervisor, this position is responsible for varied clerical work of moderate complexity involving the processing and keeping of varied police records.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keyboarding and filing
- Telephone and in-person contact with the public
- Download telephone, MDVR, Body-Worn Camera audio and video recordings for the purpose of evidence, OPRA requests, etc.
- Upload the previous electronic item onto CD/DVDs using individual computers or a dedicated CD/DVD writer
- Redaction of audio and video recordings using the appropriate software and in accordance with OPRA or other guidelines
- Process OPRA requests in accordance with current laws and practices
- Receive and process monetary payments
- Perform other clerical duties, as determined by the Records Supervisor and/or Command Staff
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of personal computers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Good keyboarding and filing skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, to assist in effectively communicating with the public while providing excellent "customer" service
- Handle confidential information appropriately with the appropriate discretion and within policies, guidelines and training
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively, producing error-free work with minimum supervision
- Ability to independently learn and adapt to various software programs, such as ProPhoenix RMS, Redactive, Eventide, Camtasia, and PowerDMS
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Pay: $34,478.00 - $38,356.00 per year
