The Egg Harbor City Public School District has the following anticipated vacancy for the 2026-2027 school year:

Leave Replacement Middle School Science Teacher (5th and 6th Grade)

Anticipated dates: January 4, 2027 through June 30, 2027

JOB FUNCTION: To provide an approved education program and establish a

class environment that fosters learning and personal growth; to help pupils develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education; and to maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate of Eligibility, Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing, or Standard in any of the following subject areas:
• Elementary N-8; or
• Elementary K-6; or
• Any science endorsement (Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physical Science, or Physics)
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

SALARY: Following the established EHCEA Salary Guide ranging from $61,772 through $94,048

BENEFITS: Sick, Personal, Family Illness, and Bereavement Days are prorated to the length of the assignment. Not eligible for Medical, Prescription, Optical, or Dental Benefits.
